LS10.0T Treadmill

After three weeks of use, the Livestrong treadmill kicks some serious booty, literally. We replaced a 12 year-old NordicTrac and boy are we glad. The programming of auto incline and speed changes give your heart a workout that is hard to beat. If you think you are going to slow on the warm up and change the speed to something higher, the machine re-calibrates the program. Be prepared to kick your workout into another gear as this will move you along at a pace that may be out of your comfort range. I love it. Reminds me of an extreme fitness routine that I like. Putting the machine together was a breeze within an hour by myself with the detailed instructions. All products should take a clue from LIVESTRONG, since the parts are all laid out in numerical order. I did have my wife help me get it into the garage where we created our gym. We read tons of reviews before purchasing this machine. We were looking at this model and a Sole. The reviews by the Treadmill Doctor has this treadmill #1 two years running, no pun intended. The only downside to this treadmill is the speakers, they are very weak with the output of sound. I wish they had an upgrade or information to complete this. We bought a wireless BOSE speaker system, which cranks without any hesitation at all volumes. My wife likes to listen to music, I watch sporting events.

LS10.0T

I purchased the LS10.0T and assembled it the same evening. It assembled easily, but would not start. Only about 50% of the buttons on the control console worked. This was on a Friday night, so I was not able to contact customer service by phone. I did send an email and received a response Saturday morning. In my email, I had described in detail exactly which buttons and controls were working, and which were not working. I figured that that would be enough information for technical services to narrow in on the problem. I received a response from Melissa which suggested many things, among them to disassemble the control console and check for a loose ribbon cable. I diassembled the console, and there was a ribbon cable hanging free. It was not loose, it was hanging free. I connected the ribbon cable, reassembled the console, and everything works as it should. The response from the on line customer service was good, but the "out of the box" quality is disappointing.

The treadmill is performing to my expectations now, but I remain disappointed. My recommendation is qualified.

Love it!

I have had this treadmill for 3 weeks and love it. My husband, myself and my two daughters (ages 10 and 13) use this treadmill. We use it daily. It's study, quiet and works great.

I love the many different options to choose from for your workout.

Delivery was great. I ordered it and 4 days later it was delivered and assembled.

I am completely satisfied with this purchase.

10.0T Treadmill

I purchased this product in January 7. After some minor difficulties with the delivery company, I received it on January 20, 2012. The incline did not work. After the second visit for repair it was fixed. Even after all of that, I have to rate this treadmill an excellent product. This is a step above home gym equipment and just a tad below regular gym equipment. I had a Proform before - yuck! I got it at a pretty good price at $809. I would recommend this treadmill to anyone interested in good quality home gym equipment and could afford the price tag.

Well set up was interesting but not hard. Just don't undue the straps until you get it where you want it set up. Putting it together was easy.
My kids like using it. The iPod function is nice and place to put your stuff. The machine is good looking and sturdy. Pretty quiet when riding. The programs are great.

Excellent Value

After doing a bit of research, I purchased the LS10.0T on sale for $799 and have not looked back. This machine is STURDY. There is absolutely not a shred of instability, and myself and my husband are not small people. Set up took my husband and I less than an hour (and our 4 year old and 18 month old were "helping", which of course slowed down the pace somewhat). The materials all feel like good quality, and the machine when in operation is quiet (other than the loud beep noise whenever you choose an option on the console...wish they had made that sound quieter or at least adjustable!). The included programs are great...I've been using the weight loss option lately. The controls are easy to use, however the USB option is a bit less than user friendly. It's not impossible and I do use it in conjunction with the livestrong.com Daily Plate, but I think they could improve this particular feature.

Overall, a very good buy, in particular if you can find it on sale.

working to lose weight

I am an older woman who has been overweight since the birth of her children over 32 years ago. The treadmill is helping me lose weight, have more self esteem, and feel better. i am working on getting off medication for blood pressure and cholestrol.
i now have my grandson who is 8 walking with me-he uses it after i do.
it would be a better unit if their were easier instructions on how to read the numbers on the machine, and utilize the flash drive. Having a contact number to talk to someone would be awesome.
i hope that if their are any problems with the treadmill, that they honor the extended coverage we purchased.

Great Treadmill

I purchased a LiveStrong 10.0T treadmill in October 2010. Great features, including controls, workout history, and training programs. The control board just failed after about 400 miles of use. Covered under warranty, but I hope it doesn't become a repetative issue.

The good, not too bad and ugly

I like the treadmill over all. It is quieter than the others that I tested. It feels sturdy, the speed and incline functions are easy. AND the support has been good.

Unfortunately, I have had to use support. When I plugged it in the first time, a fuse blew and the incline never worked, but they sent someone and he fixed it very easily! Now, the heart rate monitor does not work. And now they have to send someone else. And honestly that is not too bad.

The UGLY part is the tracking functionality. 1) loading the USB. OMG. How hard can you make that? The directions are UGLY!
Loading your workouts to www.livestrong.com? Forget about it. I have sent an email to support at both sites. I thought that since I bought a nice treadmill that I would have a decent interface to record on line; maybe not exactly like the "i fit" treadmills (some of which are a lot less than this one) but something. Don't buy this treadmill if you think you are going to want that sort of functionality. They should not even imply that it is a benefit. Actually they shouldn't even have it at all.

Good treadmill

I usually run 6 miles a day at an 8 minute mile and then occasionally will do a speed workout if the weather won't permit me to do it outside. This is definitely a user friendly treadmill, but I'm not sure it will hold up with the running I am doing. I think if I did it over again, I would purchase the next treadmill level up. For the average runner though, it's a great buy.

Good Treadmill

This treadmill is very sturdy and an excellent value for the price. I made the mistake of purchasing it and not having it delivered. The treadmill is extremely heavy and requires 2 people to assemble. When assembling the treadmill, screwing in some of the bolts and screws was rather difficult. So far I am pleased with my purchase.

Great Buy

I love this treadmill! Much more than I expected for the price. The fan and I-Pod features are great! I would recommend this to anyone.

Great machine

I've used this model for about 2 weeks now and have had a very good experience with it. Very sturdy construction and easy to use. Assembly took about an hour and a half. The only thing I've noticed is that every once in awhile, the computer display will do weird things (flashing lights, etc) if I don't program my workout in fairly quickly. But, if I shut it off and turn it back on, it resets things and I'm ok. I would recommend the machine to anyone.

Livestrong 10.0

Very pleased with treadmill. Easy to use and has a nice cushion to run on. Would definitely recommend to others.

Great treadmill, but delivery and learning curve

Let me just say that this is a really great quality treadmill with lots of good features for a very competitive price.

But, the delivery of the treadmill was a huge pain in the butt. First the delivery company scheduled an appointment between 12-4. 7pm rolled around and I had heard nothing from them, so I called and they said their driver was running late. 9pm the driver shows up and says he doesn't think we can move it in unless I find two burley guys to help out. So I am forced to reschedule to the end of the week.

I end up having to hire another moving company to come and move the treadmill from the street into my apartment which cost me an extra $200. The thing is HEAVY (343lbs) in its box. The packaging alone adds an extra 100lbs.

As far as the treadmill itself, there is a bit of a learning curve with the user interface and integrating with the usb drive. For example, it's easy to try and save your session on the USB stick and end up with blank session data when you load it into livestrong.com. But once you learn the ins and outs of the system you are good to go.

There are also currently only 4 downloadable programs. So if you are expecting to be downloading lots of new programs all the time, don't get your hopes up.

Another complaint is regarding the fact that there is no visual display of the programs (like a bar or line graph showing you the entire program), so you have to either have the booklet out to know what's going to happen, have the program memorized or just go with the flow.

Lastly, it can be a little difficult to get a proper reading on the heart rate monitor grips, as it takes 10-15 seconds and you may need to adjust your grip to get a correct reading.

Those are basically all of my complaints, but don't let the fact that I am complaining deter you. It's quiet for a treadmill, it's very sturdy and like I said at the beginning, this is a very well built machine with tons of features for the price range. No regrets here!
