Key Features

Supporting the cause

The benefits of this machine don’t end once you reach your fitness goals. Each purchase of the LS5.0R ensures that we will donate a minimum of $4 million to the LIVESTRONG® Foundation to support the 28 million people living with cancer today.

A comfortable, accessible workout

The convenient, step-thru frame design of the LS5.0R makes it easily accessible for any user; just step through the frame and sit down. The contoured seat provides greater lumbar support and makes your exercise routine more comfortable for longer rides. Our exclusive FreeSpin™ technology eliminates sudden, jarring stops and prevents undue stress on your joints, allowing you to coast comfortably when you stop pedaling.

Programs for every fitness level

Sixteen levels of magnetic brake resistance allow you to start your exercise routine at any level and gradually progress as you build endurance and strength. For even greater challenges, the LS5.0R features 9 preprogrammed workouts, giving you more variety and keeping your workout routine fresh and motivating.

Easily monitor your heart rate

Easy-to-use contact heart rate grips take the guesswork out of reaching the intensity level that’s right for you. Simply hold on to the conveniently placed grips, and monitor your heart rate level to make sure you’re staying within the desired range to get the most out of your workout.

Quality construction backed by strong warranty protection

The LS5.0R features a durable frame that can withstand any workout intensity. You can stay concentrated on reaching your fitness goals without the discomfort and distraction of a wobbly frame or rattling noise. We guarantee the durability and quality of this machine with a 7-year frame and brake warranty, 1-year on parts and labor, and unlimited in-home repairs.

Expert Review

“We created the LS5.0R to deliver an exceptionally smooth motion and feel—something lacking from the bike category today. We began with a heavy-duty flywheel that provides a fluid, consistent motion, combining it with a highly durable frame to provide optimum stability. You’ll notice the large frame tubing that wraps all the way through, providing maximum support and stability during even the most rigorous workout. This is complemented with a supportive, highly adjustable seat with maximum cushioning for the most comfortable workout possible.”

I feel it burn, super quiet, well balanced

Submitted by EJ (Stafford, VA) on Dec, 2013

For the past month and a half, I've made a lot of visits to the sporting good stores, test driving every Recumbent Bike there was to offer. I wanted durability at a good price. I did not want a model with fifteen cup holders with all these crazy electronics, and attachments for book holders and I-pods etc...plane jane as possible.

I'm 5'10" at 215 lbs and in the worst shape I've ever been in my whole life. My issues, the vertebrae from C1 - C6 are damaged, my shoulders and hips are affected by this. I'm in constant pain with no strength to lift as I used to. As a twenty five plus year automotive repair mechanic, I no longer use my career as a daily routine to stay fit. During the warmer months I ride a mountain bike, and take long walks I love it!!! but the downfall to this type of riding really plays a toll on my shoulders and neck. As I ride my wrists hurt and they will fall asleep ( carpel tunnel ) When I do my walks, I plan to stay out for at least two hours, it's too cold and with my work schedule it's not possible.

I gave this bike a good 20 minute run once I got it home. The bars up front were felt nice, I was able to really crank down without the feeling that the bike was going to tip over, what made this even nicer was the transition from full force pedaling to coasting as I went in to a casual pedal. There is NO Re-coil or loud noises ( I have wood floors )

5.0R Recumbent

Submitted by Mark Paun on Mar, 2012

Great instructions, easy to put together. plan on 1.5 to 2.0 hours if you take your time. First few days it works great. Looks good in any room. Time will tell how it holds up. We compared it to Nordic Track, Schwinn and Life Core 850 which was over $300 more and we didn't think there was any appreciable difference. The instructions on using the electronics could be a little clearer, and I wish the electronics would shut down on their own. But overall very satisfied.
